Winter Mania Veg is part of our line of vegetarian sandwiches (the Mania Veg line) that change with the seasons while always keeping as the main ingredient our two delicious fried provola cheeses. Each season has its own vegetables and sauces to pair with them: we started in the summer with Hit Mania Veg, featuring sautéed eggplant and basil sauce; we offered Autumn Mania Veg with mushrooms in two textures; and then Spring Mania Veg, which recalls the oven baked casserole with peas. With the winter version we wanted to celebrate Neapolitan friarielli at the peak of their expression. Everyone knows that in Naples the perfect match for friarielli is sausage, and over the years we have embraced this tradition with the Demogorgon sandwiches, currently on the menu, and Maestro Yoda, a special that returns every year. With Winter Mania Veg the friariello, king of Neapolitan greens, is the absolute star: sautéed as tradition dictates, but also transformed into a fantastic sauce that literally fills the mouth, reaching impressive heights of "friarielli ness". Because a vegetarian at Puok will always find warmth, even in the winter.
